Development, Ltd. was awarded the construction
contract for 3 new buildings at the new Shawangunk Campground
located in Minnewaska State Park. The 3 buildings consisted of an
Office/Residence, a Bath House/Pavilion and a Restroom Building for
Men and Women. The project was administered by the Palisades Park
Commission. All 3 buildings were sided with cedar wood. The Bath
House/Pavilion houses 4 bathrooms with tile interiors and are ADA
compliant; it also has concrete block walls, cedar wood ceilings and
an exposed wood structure and ceiling with indigenous stone veneer
column bases. The Restroom Building is a steel and concrete
structure with a wood interior and a Clivus Multrum System for waste
disposal.
This renovation of an existing space with custom design elements was
performed by David Niemotko Architects as a design/build project.
The renovation included new walls, flooring, cabinetry, custom wall
finishes, doors, electric and painting.
