Educational
David Niemotko was part of the team selected as the winner of
this design/build competition for a new 12,000 square foot,
three-story, brick/concrete block wall, steel frame addition to an
existing two-story school building. Portions of the existing school
were re-designed and the new footprint is located 50 feet from an
adjacent building. The brick and window details reflect the
architecture indigenous to Kingston. The new addition contains new
classrooms, administrative offices, bathrooms (ADA compliant), an
elevator and two egress stair enclosures. Regulatory permitting
approvals were secured from the local planning board and building
department, as well as the Dormitory Authority of New York.
Furthermore, we successfully complied with the stipulated,
strict-time constraints of the school year period without delays and
adhered to the budget requirements as outlined in the contract.
